Welcome to ‘Phone Insurance iPhone’!
I have no doubt you are thinking, thats a really strange name for a website? Yep, you are correct. But the reason why we bought this domain name is because we wanted you to find it. You see, when people are looking to insure their brand spanking new iPhone, they have been known to type in ‘Phone Insurance iPhone’ or maybe ‘Insurance for iPhone’. Or something like that. You get our drift anyway.
Anyways, onto the more important stuff. The facts and tips, on how to save money on your phone insurance. Here are our top 5 tips:
- Always opt for ‘Loss Insurance’ – Yes, if you look at our comparison tables, you will notice that it does cost a little extra to go for loss. But honestly, you are better off being covered for all eventualities. Not saying that you folks would ever do this, but mobile phone insurance fraud is on the up. Its not worth lying to the police about a lost phone (yes you will need to file a police report if your phone is stolen)
- Make sure the company you are insuring with is FSA regulated – FSA stands for ‘Financial Services Authority’ and these guys only hand out certification to trusted companies. We, at ‘phone insurance iphone’ are not FSA regulated, but you can bet your bottom dollar that if recommend someone, they will be. Thats how we work. We have a comparison table of reputable companies, and when you visit their site, and buy, we get paid a commission. We wouldn’t want to recommend a dodgy company, otherwise we could get into deep water!
- Ensure you have overseas fraudulent call cover – There are some terribly dishonest people out there folks. And they will use your stolen phone to call overseas, or even premium rate numbers. Just for the sake of it. These calls can sometimes add up to A LOT of money (£1,000 +) and hence we recommend making sure your policy does provide this cover. Always read the fine print!
- Look for different insurance options – You know, going with an independent insurance company may not be the best bet for everyone. Did you know your bank, and even your home contents provider can offer iPhone insurance? Just be aware that sometimes there may be a hefty excess, or long delay on payouts. We are not saying EVERYTIME, but do make sure you read the fine print. With contents insurance though, we urge you take out no claims bonus protection! You don’t want to be losing all those years of no claims just for the loss of a phone.
- Look for at least 1 month payment holiday – Yep, a lot of these companies are now competing for your money. Shop around. Research the market, and maybe even negotiate? There are plenty of opportunities and great deals to be had! Don’t settle for a bad deal, just because you are lazy.
